GM trying to free itself from Government, Obama Administration says no
GM would love to be able to attract talent that would help it make new cars that people want to buy – you know.. to innovate. But because of the salary cap restrictions imposed by the government they can’t. CHICAGO (MarketWatch) — The Treasury Department is resisting General Motors’ push for the government to sell off its stake in the auto maker, The Wall Street Journal reports. Following a $50 billion bailout in 2009, the U.S. Read more here.
Obama asks to become dictator in none so many words.
When Adolf Hitler took power there was a congress in Germany so to speak of elected officials that represented the people. Hitler decided that in order to get things done more quickly… you know for the good of the German people, that he should consolidate the power of the executive branch. I can’t say that I wasn’t surprised that he wants to be a supreme dictator and circumvent the constitution. But I am surprised at his ginormous balls to go out and state this in the open, and actually make this request. I guess I’m also not surprised that none of […]
Michelle Obama: Do as I say, not as I do.
From here. During her visit to South Africa, First Lady Michelle Obama stopped by the University of Cape Town for an event with young people. She told the audience how she came from modest circumstances and was able to attend top schools and build a career at a big law firm, saying they too can achieve their dreams if they try hard enough. After her speech, she was asked a series of soft questions like, “What advice can you give the youth today?” But at the end of the session, one young person in the audience asked Mrs. Obama, who […]
Drama between the progressive press and the White House Communications office erupts into Democrat vs Democrat hearsay controversy.
The San Franciscan press is in a tit for tat with the White House over whether or not Chicago style politics are being employed over the ‘regulated’ freedom of the press. What is more? A union is at the core of the regulatory confines of the press when dealing with fundraising efforts of our incumbent Leader…. Reader more here.
Most Transparent Administration in History? Puh-lease…
Apparently the current presidential administration prides itself on myths and then ticks off their own base in 3 different ways – 1. Not as Progressive 2. Not as Transparent 3. Pissing off the San Fransisco press Read it at the San Fransisco Gate here.
Obama’s Debt Reduction Plan Proposes New Talking Points
Today we heard things like: “We have to live within our means.. get back on a path to pay down our debt” “We will all need to make sacrifices” These are talking points for beginning to discuss cutting the deficit by 4 trillion dollars in 12 years. It used to be 10 years he’s now adjusted it to 12 to make sure that they don’t start actually doing anything until after the election. I’m sorry pushing off 2 years to actually doing something isn’t going to cut it this time. I’m tired of just hearing talking points and seeing no […]
House passes Amendment to Defund Obama Care
WASHINGTON (AP) — In rapid-fire action Friday, the Republican-controlled House voted to strip federal money from President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul and from Planned Parenthood and to bar the EPA from issuing global warming regulations. Upping the ante in the budget faceoff, the Obama administration warned that workers who distribute Social Security benefits might be furloughed if congressional Republicans force cuts in government spending. Can you find the budget cuts proposed by Obama?
In a proposed 3.8 trillion dollars President Obama has proposed digging deep and cutting deep and managed to cut $775 Million dollars. You can’t find it – here take a closer look (click the article to see the rest) Sometimes a chart visual just doesn’t do it. So lets talk about how many pennies can you stack to get from the Earth to the Moon : 384 billion. Our budget is considerably larger than that. So how much budget cutting […]
Let’s talk about BP
After the President’s failed attempt to inspire confidence in us in his speech last night, where he spent more time trying to push cap and tax legislature than he did actually describing how they planned to fix the problem, I figured it would be a good idea to discuss some of the facts. 1. BP itself hasn’t existed as British Petroleum in some years. They merged with Amoco in 1998 . 2. The Deepwater Horizon oil rig is owned and operated by Transocean on behalf of BP – who is the majority owner of the oilfield they are drilling. 3. […]
No Common Sense Column: Obama pleads for 50 more billion
From here. President Obama urged reluctant lawmakers Saturday to quickly approve nearly $50 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments, saying the money is needed to avoid “massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters” and to support the still-fragile economic recovery. Right – and its his Organized Labor Unions that put the states in this predicament to begin with. “Only 50 more billion to bail out the states…”
