It didn’t receive much fanfare or note in the media because the other events that have been happening, and for that we lament for a fallen hero.  Dick Winters was an amazing man who defended this country, and trained brave new soldiers after WWII before going to work again in the private sector.  He was the inspiration for the TV show Band of Brothers with many of his fellow soldiers who also, like Dick ,  have passed on.  Seeing our greatest generation die like this is saddening as these men were true men of grit and fortitude, as opposed to […]
