It can’t run like a business because you have politicians ruling over it. Other countries have successfully privatized their postal service, why can’t we? Gold yesterday hit $1500 an ounce. Silver today shows at $44 an ounce. Last year around this time I went to my local silver dealer and bought some silver at $18 an ounce. When a commodity like gold and silver hit these high of numbers its a window into how much less the dollar is worth as we’re seeing inflation rear its ugly head. There are consequences to borrowing more money, raising the debt limit as our treasury keeps monetizing our debt.
